Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem, built 1035 C.E (the first recorded holy building on the site built in 705 C.E) has also been a victim of fire today as the Notre Dame in Paris burns. 

It’s important to note that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is the third holiest site in Islam, so I beg you to keep Muslims, especially Palestinian Muslims in Jerusalem, in your prayers (and if you’re not religious, keep Muslims in your thoughts). 

the fire has been put out, there wasn’t a lot of damage and no one was hurt, thankfully

to add onto this, al-aqsa has a justgiving page managed by the Muslim Hands charity organization if anyone wants to donate to help with repairs!
